Hai Tien Lo Weekend a la carte Buffet Brunch.

It was a rainy day ,took the lift to the 37 flr as the lift moved it seem slow with beautiful  rain filled view.But were there in no time. Was here giving my sis a birthday treat and we went for the weekend a la carte buffet brunch.

We order all the Chef's signature dishes first. All one serving only....

Bird nest tarts.The bird nest itself was tasteless the tart was quite okay.Hey it's Bird's Nest so I am enjoying.
 

  Imperial Lobster Dumpling. Was big and had chucks of lobsters inside.To be honest and could not taste it was lobster or big prawns.They said Lobster so must be lobster.Nice feeling eating lobster.

Braised Shark's Fin Soup with Crab Meat. Had lot fins and crab meat as you can see.
It tasted like normal but I never had a buffet with so much  Shark's fins and crab in the soup  .This a alone could cover near half the buffet price.Shoik! la

ordered as many times as you wish but doesn't come in as you order

  Steamed Pork Dumpling with Fish Roe was good

                      
      Poached Beijing Dumplings stuffed with Chicken & Prawn in Chilli Vinegar Sauce was very good.

 

  Steamed Barbecued Pork Buns. Was sweet and nice but a little too sweet for me.

Pan-fried Rice Flour Rolls with Crispy Conpoy with Homemade X.O Chilli Sauce.Well never had fried Chee  Cheong Fun before it was different.Taste wise it was plain but taken with the sauce it was quite okay.

   Steamed Carrot Cake with Preserved Meat. Was soft and smooth light when dig into the preserved meat at bottom it becomes surprising very good..

    Steamed Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce the feet were trimmed for easy eating.

Deep-fried Bean Curd Skin stuffed with Chives & Prawn Paste.The skin was crispy and filling was well balance.Good I liked it.

    Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. With big crunchy prawns with soft skin was okay.

Steamed Cod Fish with Preserved Vegetables. The Cod tasted very fresh light soft just slides inside your mouth.Did not taste like it was forzen at all. And preserved vegetables did a fine compliment.Was one of the best dish.Ordered twice.

  Deep-fried Red Garoupa Fillet with Sesame & Citrus Sauce. The fish was not crispy but sauce was quite okay not bad.

Sauteed Garoupa Fillet with Ginger & Scallions.The fish was a bit hard and not tender  but can be eaten.

“Country-style” Steamed Sea Perch Fillet with Spicy Sauce.I don't think  it was very fresh but the was sauce okay.

Poached Live Prawns.Was crunchy, sweet and fresh.

Fried Prawns tossed in Wasabi Mayonnaise Sauce.I don't like wasabi so not saying anything.

Wok-fried Crispy Prawns with Spicy Corn Sauce . The prawns were big, was very crunchy and fresh and sauce was very good. Would have ordered again if time did not run out.A Winner                                                                          

Crispy Cuttlefish & Enoki Mushrooms with Salt & Spices.Was very crispy and good.You can munch on it any time.

Deep-fried Whitebait with Salt & Pepper.This bait was quite big and was very crispy and good.A another for munching.

Barbecued Crispy Pork Belly.The skin was crispy the meat could  do with abit more seasoning.

Marinated Sliced Pork Knuckle.Was served with jelly fish.

Stewed Bean Curd & Sea Cucumber with Spicy Szechuan Sauce.The bean curd was soft ,cucumber was very well done and  the sauce was just right,was quite happy with this.

Braised Homemade Bean Curd Mushrooms.Was okay nothing special.

Porridge with Shredded Chicken &  Dried Scallops.At first it tasted very plain normal after awhile it was good must be dried scallops.

Homemade Fish Noodles Braised with Sea Cucumber & Prawns.Missed taking photo... time was running out.It was actually quite good.

They had a small buffet station with some cakes,soy pudding, kueys, fruits,duck tongues, duck wings,fried dumpling and barbecued pork ribs.

Had some dumpling and ribs.The dumpling was cold can't taste anything much but ribs were surprising good had a  slight crisp just a touch of sweetness.

 They forgot some of our orders.We were not served anything for over an hour from 1.05p.m to 2.15. 2p.m was suppose be last order.There were about 9 more dishes to come about 2.15p.m all the dishes came instantaneously at one go,There was no last order asked by the staff .

It was full house the I think the wait staff  were trying their best to serve being  friendly and were apologetic.

Over all the food was good will I go back ............
