Swee Guan Hokkien Mee

The one at Geyland Lor 29

Does this as anything do with the Geylang Lor 29 Hokkien Mee at East Coast Road?
Yes,their are said to be related.

As same as his counter part the noodles are fried in a charcoal stove. The noodles looked as though it really took a beating, very messy type.Smoky, very good wok hei, flavours of the stock blended very well.Slightly over cooked to absorb the all the flavours of the stock.A bit oily, quite wet but very  tasty.Serving portion for $4.00 was quite little,2 medium size prawns,2 or 3 slices of cuttlefish.Chilly was okay better than his counter part.
The  $5.00 portion seems more reasonable.More noodles,4 medim size prawns, quite a number of cuttlefish.
As good as it is.It's no where near comparable to the way Alex's does at East Coast. But this taste was almost identical to how Alex's helper does the hokkien mee.
Maybe  I am biased, for me Alex is in a league of his own.So to compare with Alex can be considered very unreasonable.
Having said that,I would say, this was very good, tasty hokkien  mee in it's own way.
