We(my sis and my niece) were at Katong Shopping Centre doing some shopping,could see alot of makan stall along the basement area.We took walk along the  basement where we came to a food centre,nearly every table you can see chicken rice and plate full of vegefruit salad which turn out to be achar.

Glory Kuehs and Popiah

Almost,everywhere from road side stalls,supermarket,food court,you can see and buy Nonya Kuehs.But good ones are so hard to find.I love some of this kuehs but only to end up with so much, disappointment most of the time,at the best I get some average ones.


 Just when I gave up, I found one, which just pleased my taste bud.They have some very decent good kuehs and some very good ones at it.

TO TASTE THE REAL ... GEYLANG LOR 29 FRIED HOKKIEN MEE

 It been sometime since I last paid a visit to my favourite hokkien mee.I have been there couple of times but I did not see Alex behind the stove infact he was not around.
Today I went to try my luck.What else can I say my face lighted up with smiles to to see Alex behind the stove,doing what he does best stirring and arousing the hokkien mee.The fragrance was already tantalizing my senses.

 While waiting for the wanton mee to be served.My pal bought some epok epok from a Malay stall in the same coffee shop.

CHUNG CHENG CHILLY MEE

PRAWN MEE or is it... CHILLY MEE

 I have eaten at this stall for some 17 years.Back then we just ask by prawn mee.At that time I was quite a regular for years,going there very often maybe around very other week.Then they were doing very well but not so popular.Back then their chilly was some thing do die for,with load full of ingredients(they had very decent numbers prawns in it) and very decent soup it was simply unbeatable.It's been sometime I had my last chilly mee here..

CHU JI WATON MEE.

Was around Ikea with pal when told me there is very good wanton noodles around the corner.So we headed to Stirling Road which was not just a bit off about 15 minutes walk.

  We arrived at a  lazy looking coffee shop.Ordered the wanton mee The wanton stall was manned by a old lady and old man,was told the waiting will be long.It did not look very crowded.
