Almost the Traditional way....
Chendol you can find it almost in every dessert stall...

I remember when decades back the way chendol,(which are made from mung bean) were sold.They do their own chendol.You won't know what they selling,unless you familiar in that area..In a make shift push cart stall with big stainless steel container,along the roadside.The chendol drink was inside the the container .Ice shaved when ordered,the chendol drink poured into a small bowl.And the taste....

With over 30 years experience how can it go wrong......

Though I have had this Bak Kut Teh on quite a number of occasions it really did not occur to me how good this BKT is.

Xi Ji Chicken Rice.

I was planning to try out this place for over a year.Buddy had already try out this Chicken Rice.,but for some reason he did want to follow me on my visit.I have heard about this place from some foodies too.They are opened only in the evening,so just made my way to try this out.
I visited this place twice just to make sure......

Old is Gold....Traditionally Baked Bread Loaves.

In this rundown dark messy shop,there is pure gold mine.
A bite of this bread,brought back flashes of memories of  my childhood days.Flashes of beautiful,carefree childhood days are so fresh, hard to forget.Simple things like,running after a bread selling van,can be so joyful.

Che Jian Hokkien Mee

The other stall at Chomp Chomp.

 I thought only  Ah Hock ruled at Chomp Chomp for Hokkien Mee. But this Hokkien Mee stall "Che Jian" does command,it's equal amount of followers at Chomp Chomp and the wait time for a Hokkien Mee can be equally long too.Waited for around 25 minutes.

This Bee Hoon was first suggested by buddy,who saw a show on television,some time ago.Located in Toa Payoh,nearer to Braddell  MRT.I have visited this place 3 times.

Hong Wen Mutton Soup

 Beauty World Centre  ...Bukit Timah

It's been at least maybe over 2 decades,I had this mutton soup....

This was when,they were  just starting out there.I still could recognize the man,selling the mutton soup..I used to work around Bukit Timah area back then and Beauty World Centre was one of my, often lunching place.
It's an open roof top food centre.The food centre has not changed much,even though there has been some renovation works.
